Testing, testing . . . Here's August?

Did y'all know about this?
Automatic resizing
All photos uploaded in Google+ will be automatically resized to 2048 pixels (on their longest edge) and won't count towards your free storage quota.
All photos uploaded from the Picasa software or in Picasa Web Albums over the free size limit will count towards your 1 GB of free storage. When you reach your storage limit, any new photos you upload larger than the free size limit will be automatically resized to 2048 pixels (on their longest edge).

So let's test this out. . . . And it worked. Here I am thinking google is full of idiots and I'm the stupid one. I probably maxed out my storage space a long time ago and didn't even notice. :)

Greg was on TDY (out of town for work) for 15 days. Whew. It seems like I take way more pictures when he's not here. I must be bored or something.

From what I hear, when I was little I couldn't say "yellow"—I said "lello." My grandma would try get me to say "ya ya ya yellow" and I'd say "ya ya ya lellow." So this one's for you, Grandma.

Another block creation. She's very proud of them. Maybe because I make such a big deal about them.

They emptied every box of toys. Every single one. I thought I'd capture the chaos.

And another. This is me, in case you couldn't tell. Robot Mommy. The small green blocks are my earrings, white is my head, silver are my body, and yellow are my legs. Nice, eh? Maybe we have an abstract artist on our hands. Or just a little girl with a good imagination.
While Greg was gone we had a scheduled power outage, so we headed for the aquarium to kill time. It was supposed to be out from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. We got back at 2:45 and the power was still out. At 4:45 I gave up and ordered a pizza. While we were out getting the pizza the power finally came back on. The great news? We have two more planned outages coming up. Yee-haw. (Or hee-haw, as Macy would say.)

Rest stop! I think I had more fun here than at the aquarium. It wasn't terribly humid and it was fun to wander around with the kiddos while they picked up random stuff. (Like lots of blossoms.)

I took this for Greg. I told you birds are creepy beasts!

This kid loves eyewear. (See below.)

I believe this is Robot Daddy. And Josh is officially in the cheesy picture stage.

Haircut! I really hated it at first (much shorter than I wanted) but it's starting to grow on me. The part I  really don't like is the front—she trimmed his hair on one side so it's all one length, like she was trying to fix his hairline. He got that wonky hairline from his daddy and believe me, the best thing you can do is let it be.

There so nice to each other in the morning. :)

And Josh still gets very excited when the garbage truck comes.

May

Just a little behind. I feel like because I'm so far behind this blog is becoming a travelog instead of a way to keep track of our actual lives. So I'm going to do way more posts than anyone will be interested in (except my mom) to catch up. Also, I'm completely out of storage space in Picasa. Does anyone know a way around that besides deleting photos or purchasing more storage? $2.49/month doesn't seem like much, but over a lifetime it will definitely add up. In order to post today I deleted duplicate photos, so if anyone is looking through old stuff and sees a missing photo let me know.

Okay, so now to what you're here for. Pardon the blurry photos. The main drawback to the iPhone camera (for me) is that the lens gets dirty too easily.

We buy a lot of soda in this house. Terrible, I know. But when we get home from the store Josh always organizes them in strange ways. He'll line them up (as you see), he'll try to stack them, push them against the cupboards, etc. Pretty funny.

Grandma Lala bought Macy a tea set while she was here and Macy loves to play tea party.

Josh loves cheesecake. Or any cake.

And Macy loves umbrellas.

I saw these Nutella cupcakes on Pinterest and had to try them. They are delicious but a little too much work (and too expensive—a whole Ferrero Rocher in the center and half on top!). This was my first attempt at Swiss Meringue Buttercream (my new favorite thing) and it wasn't quite right, but still delicious.

Greg is a better dad than I am a mom and pulled out the pool for the kids. Macy loves it; Josh hates it. Which is weird; he loves to take baths. Maybe it's too cold? Aren't they cute? :)

Sunglasses, sunglasses, sunglasses. Macy has three pairs (all of which are missing or broken as I type this). If she doesn't have them and it's "too bright" outside she closes her eyes and makes me lead her around.

Josh mostly just likes to eat his.

1 o'clock church is tough on Josh (and us). On this Sunday he fell asleep on the way home, still clutching a graham cracker.

We finally moved the gate from the stairs to the kitchen. Now I can do the dishes in peace and their toys don't get spread into the dining room and kitchen. And it's a fun climbing toy. I'm guessing that he wanted the shopping cart.

So that's May! On to June.

Private Blogs

To those on our "blogroll":

I never check private blogs. I check blogs faithfully, but I just see if the link color has changed in my blog list, indicating a new post. Maybe this is a dumb way to do it, but there you go. So I've created a separate list of private blogs in hopes that I'll remember to check them.

Having said that, if anyone is unhappy with the way their blog link shows up on my blog, please let me know and I'll change it or take it off or whatever you'd like.

Okay, that's all. Happy posting.

P.S. I don't know how I'll make it seven more weeks. This baby doesn't fit anymore. I do not remember being this uncomfortable with Macy, especially not this early. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
