We went to the zoo to celebrate President's Day. (Not really; we went to the zoo because Greg had the day off.) It was so much fun! It's amazing how something like the zoo is so exciting when you're a kid, then gets really boring, and then gets way more exciting than ever when you have your own kids.
Macy fell asleep on the way (it's a little over a 2-hour drive).
She loved the polar bear, zebras, and giraffes.
She's getting really good with all of her animal sounds and I think her elephant sound is my favorite (she basically just spits). When I looked at our pictures on the elephant I realized that next time we'll have to go from the side if we don't want the nice sign in the pictures.
We learned that the baby carrier isn't very comfortable with a 17 lb. baby and we need a double stroller.
Macy is getting very . . . expressive. When I picked her up from nursery on Sunday I asked if she was good. One nursery leader said, "She was great. We had so much fun today!" The other nursery leader said, "She's sure a strong-willed little girl." I keep telling myself (and others) it's just because she's two. We'll see. Anyway, one day we decided to document her angry face. When she's upset with us she turns her head and glares. It's hard not to laugh Enjoy.
She's very sweet and very funny even if she is "strong-willed." Here's a giggle video.
I did end up cutting Josh's hair. It still looks like a mohawk because the hair down the center of his head is still much thicker than on either side (people at church always ask if we did it on purpose), but it's still cute.
Our little boy also had RSV and an ear infection last week (we ended up taking him the the doctor last Sunday) so that was no fun, but he did really well and had a super quick recovery. They weighed him and he's now 17 lbs, 1 oz.
He's finally liking his bouncer. Macy still really likes it too.
And look at how much Josh loves his sister. Actually, I think he's trying to look at his quilt, which he loves to stare at almost as much as Macy loves to use it.
P.S. I painted Macy's fingernails and toenails for the first time today and she loves it. I was worried she wouldn't be able to leave it alone long enough to dry, but she was actually very dainty about the whole thing. Silly girl.

I love the cowboy boots Macy was wearing in the car! Also, I love Josh's face in that last picture
