Applebee's doesn't have Diet Coke, so if the Diet Pepsi isn't worth the hit against my daily caffeine allowance I'll sometimes get a flavored drink. Last time we went I ordered a "watermelon fizzer," which I thought was a sprite (or sierra mist, I guess) with watermelon flavoring. What I got was this:
Yep. From what I can find in online recipes you make them with either gin or vodka, occasionally tequila. Whoopsy. I immediately said, "Oh, that's definitely not what I wanted," which of course made our waitress feel stupid and awkward. Anyway, it was pretty funny.
Turns out that there are non-alcoholic "fizzers" on the Applebee's menu, she just misunderstood. Oh well. I'll point to it in the drink menu next time.

Did I ever tell you about the time I drank a "Mike's Hard Lemonaide?" I didn't know it was alcoholic until a few days later. I just remember feeling really calm afterwards and then falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon.
