Playing Hard

Macy is a busy little thing. She's hugely into climbing lately. Her little pink chair we got her for Christmas that I was so excited about is now the bane of my existence in that it aids and abets that climbing fetish. For your viewing pleasure, a few climbing photos and videos.

First, she finally got into the washer. She figured out that she had been trying it with the wrong parent, and sneaked in while Greg was switching the laundry. The top right picture is her trying to crawl, which made the drum spin like a hamster wheel.

And now, the infamous pink chair and a glimpse of how she uses it to get her wherever she wants to go.

She's getting more and more helpful with everything lately. She gets very upset if we don't let her throw her dirty diapers away, she helps us get her dressed, and she helps put her toys away. This morning she found her shoes and jacket after I dressed her and cried until I put them on, then went and stood by the door to the garage so we could "go." It was 9:00 a.m. and 32 degrees outside, so I just let her wander around the garage for a few minutes. She found the stroller and started pulling things out of the basket. Then she took a dive.

Then she got stuck.

We took advantage of the extra day off yesterday and went to the park for the first time since winter set in. Macy had lots of fun, especially on the "bulldozer."

For those of you who are sick of seeing Macy's headbanging dancing videos, she's got a new move: she learned how to twirl. Just like in You've Got Mail. It makes her pretty tipsy.

And here's one of me on Valentine's Day, sprawled out on the kitchen floor because I just realized I was unintentionally making 2.5 gallons of chicken noodle soup. Which may not sound like a lot, but it sure is. I'm laughing in despair at my stupidity, not crying. Just thought I'd clarify.

Who knew that a five pound chicken could translate to that much soup? And who has a stock pot that big? Too bad nobody lives nearby. We could have a giant party and feed 50 on soup alone. Except that it wasn't that great. Maybe because of the way I ended up cooking it. In twenty pots.

Hahaha I love this! The pictures of Macy in the dryer are adorable, and I love your soup story. I wish you didn't live so far away.
