She be jammin'

First, I just want to send a message to my fellow Utahns. We got a call two weeks ago on Saturday morning telling us that church was cancelled the next day. It was around 10:00 a.m. About half an inch of snow had fallen. Sunday was warm, all snow from the day before had melted. Oh well.

Here are some pictures of the treacherous, unplowed road in front of our house and the snowy wilderness in the backyard (the railing should give you a good idea of depth).

Yes, I understand that things are different here. I understand that people aren't used to driving in snow and that the cities don't have the same snow removal capabilities. I just always wondered as a child what would get us a snow day from school. Now I know. I just needed to live on the east coast, where the threat of snow one night would get me out of school two hours early and keep me home the next day.

All right. On to our dancing girl. If you recall, Macy's first dancing tune was the closing credits to Gilmore Girls. Well, now the theme to the Office is what really makes her move . . .

. . . but her own skills on the keyboard work too.

And finally, here's the latest word Macy has added to her extensive, three- to four-word vocabulary. (Note that she's juggling two binkies and a sippy cup.)

P.S. I want to know why Blogger would launch their new editor without video upload capability. Can anyone tell me?
