And the winner is . . .

Talk about irony. We're going to North Carolina. Tomorrow I'll come up with a list of positive things about this news, but for tonight I'm going to allow myself to mourn the loss of Europe.

aww where in NC are you going? It's actually a pretty pretty place! And there's a beach close by! (within a few hours, depending on where you are.) My dad and Patrick's dad were both stationed at Ft. Bragg. NC is also practically a foreign country in and of itself.

Sorry you didn't get England, though. :/

NC is awesome! I have an uncle in Charlotte, and we've already been down there twice. You'll love it, it's gorgeous!

That's always the way it works. My dad almost never got stationed where he requested but my mom still always got her hopes up about exotic locales.

Good luck with the move, anyways.

NC is actually pretty nice! You've got lots of US history, fab old houses to see, AMAZING southern food to eat, thick forrests, ocean...not too bad. AND thanks to military Space A hopping, you can travel to any base you want for free, so England and Germany aren't that far off, where you can stay on base for dirt cheap!

Oh no! I'm sorry, it's obviously for the best for some reason ... good luck. Stay positive! :)

Ha! That's amazingly ironic. I'd mourn a little, too. However, my mom moved to NC and our one visit so far was totally gorgeous.
maybe we'll come see you. ;)
