February

It's only been three days! Can you believe it?! Here's the photo dump from February. Sorry, this is a long one.

This is actually one I missed from December. Isn't she so cute?

Josh is the cuddliest baby I've ever met.

Playing in his room.

Reading.

Macy plays alone in her room for a while most days.
One day she came downstairs in her swimming suit.

There's a reason I can't ever do the dishes (or sweep the floor, or vacuum, or anything else). And his name is Josh. He's so pushy! Whenever I'm standing at the counter (cooking or cleaning) he pushes himself between me and the counter and shoves me back. But I think the dishwasher is the worst.

I think the best part about this long, quiet video is that you get
to see Josh's personality. He has the funniest little mannerisms.

Here's Macy, singing again. Probably watching Little Einsteins and singing along with Annie.
We made that microphone together, but she recently pulled the foil out of the tube.

Our little town has hit a population milestone recently. I can't remember the actual number, but there's some threshold that has to be reached before a lot of chains will build a franchise and we're finally there. There's a new building going in near the "mall" that looks suspiciously like an Olive Garden. But I won't get my hopes up; it looks way too big. Have you ever seen an Olive Garden with other restaurants attached?

Why am I so passionate about this? Well, let me go over our restuarants. We have one mediocre Italian restaurant. Then we have Chili's, Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse, Texas Steakhouse, Logan's Roadhouse, The Steak Barn, and, well, you get the picture. And the other day we were driving home from church and we saw a "Longhorn Steakhouse Coming Soon" sign. Bah! Do people here only eat steak? Oh, and Hibachi. You would not believe the number of Hibachi places here (which, as you know, is just a Japanese Steakhouse).

Here it is, so you can let me know what you think. It's actually
been several weeks since I took this and it's moving along
steadily so I should know soon one way or another.

We went to the Olive Garden on our way to the beach President's
Day weekend. So here's a recently-opened Olive Garden for
comparison. Now that more of our mystery building has been
completed, it does have the random angled rooftop
on one side, but it's definitely much larger than this one.

Macy's helping me make a cake for a baby shower. I recently started
French Braiding her bangs sometimes and it's always super cute.

And here's an example of Macy's improving photography
skills. Nice of her to blur it for me so I look better.
I'm sure she did that on purpose. Very artistic.

We got to experience the lovely neurovirus that hit last month. We basically
all took turns, one day at a time. Josh got it first and it was so pathetic.
He was so week and tired that he just laid around all day.

All better! Here's his crazy hair. I don't get it cut enough and
it grows really fast.
But it's cute and curly like Macy's!

Here's the aforementioned cake. One of my spouse groups that I'm sort of in charge of hosted a double shower and I was in charge of the girl cake. She's doing her nursery with ladybugs and pink and green, so this is what I came up with. The ladybug is just an egg-shaped styrofoam ball that I cut the bottom off of then wrapped in foil. Unfortunately, this shot shows the worst part of the pink border; I had never done it before and I was experimenting as I went I didn't end up getting to attend because it was Macy's sick day (yep, the day after she "helped" me make it. Don't worry; she just watched.)

Josh is a true boy; he had been watching this truck for a while before I got to the camera.

And I finally caught Macy singing the Diet Coke Song.

Josh has the funniest growl-y laugh. It always makes people at church laugh.

I don't want to dash your hopes and dreams, but Longhorn Steak House is owned by the same people as the Olive Garden. We have them here in Louisville and their buildings do kinda look the same, just no rocks on the outside. However, they just built a new Olive Garden and Longhorn right together here, so maybe that's happening? I hope for you it's an Olive Garden. However, we've never tried Longhorn, maybe since they are connected to OG they'll be delicious. I
