Christmas 2011

It's about time I posted Christmas pictures. We decided to stay home this year. We missed having family around, but it was nice to spend all the holiday time with each other. Greg only had to work half-days between Christmas and New Year's, so we had lots of family time.

A few weeks before Christmas we went to the annual tree-lighting ceremony on base and Macy willingly sat on Santa's lap for the first time. Josh was very curious about Santa's beard.

Macy was very excited to have a present. Josh just wanted to play with the ornaments.

Macy gasped in awe and joy repeatedly.

Josh enjoyed tearing something to pieces with permission.

Macy posed willingly.

Josh did not.

"What?"

Christmas Morning

We have 9 am church, so we decided to open presents after church instead of before. We kept the kids upstairs so they wouldn't see all the presents under the tree and hurried past when we left. They were very excited when we came back from church.

Their favorite present was the wagon. We just put a bow on it, so it was one of the first things they saw. I don't know how, but this is the only video I have. Sorry, mom.

Here's Josh enjoying the spoils of his stocking while sitting in said wagon.

His first dump truck.

Lots of doll accessories for Macy's baby. More on the stroller later.

We got a play tent with a tube that goes out of one side. They had lots of fun with it.

Here's Josh's chair to match Macy's so they don't have to fight anymore.
(Not over the chair at least.) And Greg's holding Macy's art desk.

And I always like to share my food disasters. We went to a dinner party and supplied the mashed potatoes for what we thought would be 30–40 people. Turns out there were closer to 20. Whoops. So here's our 6-qt. slow cooker filled with potatoes.
