Some back story. Macy was very excited by Greg's birthday at the end of August and even more excited by Josh's birthday at the end of September. She had a very hard time waiting until her birthday, so as it got closer we kept telling her that we'd have her birthday on Sunday. So she'd say "Sunday! Birthday! Friends! Cake! Sunday! Birthday!" before and for several weeks after we celebrated.
We had her open a new church dress and shoes before church, then pulled everything else out after church. If it seems like she got a lot of stuff it's really because she had grown out of all her shoes and needed new fall clothes, so we just made it all birthday present stuff so she'd have more to open.
The Sunday after we got to Utah we had an extended family party for her too.
