We've been really bugged about not knowing how much Macy weighs. We don't go back to the doctor for a well-baby exam for another month and we couldn't wait any longer. So we bought a scale.
We put in our guesses--mine was 6 lbs, 14 oz, Greg's was 7 lbs, 8 oz.
We weighed her once and I refused to believe it. We weighed her again, using a slightly different method. I still refused to believe it. Finally, when I saw the same result for the third time, I consented to agree with the scale.
She weighs 7.4 lbs. Which means that for once Greg was right and I was wrong.
In other news, I took Macy all the way to Layton on Friday for her first long trip in the car without one of her loving parents sitting next to her. Before Greg would fully consent to this trip, he made me rig up a mirror so that I could see her out of my rearview mirror. Yes, we're quite overprotective.
Perhaps the most exciting non-baby thing that happened this week was that Greg received his orders for the Air Force, so we can finally start planning for the next few months.
Greg has to report at ASBC (Air and Space Basic Course) at Maxwell AFB (Montgomery, Alabama) in January. It's a six-week program. Macy and I are going to stay in Utah. We have to report to Goodfellow AFB (San Angelo, Texas) for Intelligence School (yes, Greg is finally going to learn to be intelligent) in March. (Macy and I will accompany him.)
So there you have it. We have a growing baby and know what's happening at least until next September. Pretty sweet.

I don't know, learning to be intelligent may take Greg more than six months and Goodfellow...;) Just kidding! I'm totally jealous and can't wait til April! Glad ya'll are doing so well.
